Liability Waiver

Assumption of risk

I understand and acknowledge that the use of The Canvas Creative Studio's facilities, equipment, and spaces involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, property damage, and loss of personal belongings. I voluntarily assume all such risks.

Release of liability

In consideration of being permitted to use the facilities of The Canvas Creative Studio (operated by its incorporated entity, Brampton, Ontario), I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue The Canvas Creative Studio, its owners, operators, employees, agents, and successors from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by me or any of my guests during our use of the premises.

Indemnification

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Canvas Creative Studio and its representatives from any loss, liability, damage, or cost they may incur due to the acts or omissions of myself, my guests, or any vendors I bring to the premises during my booking — whether they are part of The Canvas's in-house vendor network or outside vendors I have hired independently (including but not limited to photographers, caterers, bartenders, florists, decorators, DJs, and delivery personnel).

Guest and vendor responsibility

• I am responsible for the safety and conduct of all guests and vendors — both in-house and outside — present during my booking.
• I will ensure outside vendors comply with The Canvas's studio rules and all applicable laws, including noise, fire, and health & safety regulations.
• I acknowledge that minors must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
• I agree that any injuries sustained by my guests or outside vendors are my responsibility and not that of The Canvas.
• I understand that The Canvas is not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to outside vendors' own equipment or property left on the premises.

Property damage

I accept full financial responsibility for any damage to The Canvas's property, equipment, furniture, or fixtures caused by myself, my guests, or any in-house or outside vendors during my booking period, beyond what is covered by the security deposit.

Emergency situations

In the event of an emergency, I consent to The Canvas staff contacting emergency services on my behalf. I understand that The Canvas is not responsible for medical expenses or outcomes arising from emergencies during my booking.

Governing law

This waiver is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. If any provision of this waiver is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.

Acknowledgement

By completing a booking on thecanvas.ca, I confirm that I have read, understood, and voluntarily agree to this liability waiver. I confirm that I am 18 years of age or older, or that I have the consent of a parent or guardian.
