When you make a booking or purchase a ticket through thecanvas.ca, we collect the following personal information:

• Name, email address, and phone number.
• Company or organisation name (optional).
• Booking details including dates, times, and services selected.
• Payment information — processed and stored securely by Stripe. The Canvas never stores your card number.
• IP address at the time of waiver acceptance, for legal record-keeping.

How we use your information

• To process and manage your booking or ticket purchase.
• To send you booking confirmation, reminders, and receipts via email.
• To send you marketing communications, if you have opted in under CASL.
• To comply with legal and regulatory obligations, including HST remittance to the CRA.
• To improve our services and website experience.

CASL compliance

The Canvas complies with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). We only send commercial electronic messages to those who have given us express or implied consent. You may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time by clicking the Unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us at thecanvasbrampton@gmail.com or (905) 570-2360.

Third-party services

We use the following trusted third-party services to operate our platform:

• Stripe — payment processing. Your card details are handled directly by Stripe and are never stored on our servers.
• Supabase — secure database hosting for booking records.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Vercel — website hosting.

Each of these providers maintains their own privacy policies and security practices. We share only the minimum data necessary for these services to function.

Data retention

We retain your booking records and personal information for a minimum of 7 years to comply with CRA requirements for business records. Marketing consent records are retained for as long as the consent remains valid.

Your rights
