Media & Photography Waiver

Scope

This media waiver applies only to Canvas-hosted events — events created and operated by The Canvas Creative Studio and open to the public via ticket purchase. It does not apply to private bookings, hourly rentals, or privately arranged events where clients bring their own photographer or videographer.

Photography and video consent

By purchasing a ticket to a Canvas-hosted event, you acknowledge that The Canvas Creative Studio or its designated photographers and videographers may photograph and film attendees during the event for the purposes of marketing, social media, website content, and promotional materials.

Use of your image

You grant The Canvas Creative Studio a royalty-free, perpetual, non-exclusive licence to use your likeness, image, and voice as captured during the event in:

• The Canvas website (thecanvas.ca) and any future versions of the site.
• The Canvas social media accounts (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other platforms).
• Promotional materials including digital advertising, print, and email marketing.

You waive any right to compensation, approval, or review of such materials prior to their use.

Opt-out

If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, you must notify The Canvas in writing at thecanvasbrampton@gmail.com or by calling (905) 570-2360 at least 48 hours before the event. We will make reasonable efforts to honour your request, though we cannot guarantee complete exclusion from all footage given the nature of event photography.

Children and minors

If you are accompanying a minor, by purchasing a ticket you confirm that you have the authority to grant this consent on behalf of the minor. If you do not consent to your minor child being photographed, please notify us in advance as described in the Opt-out section above.

Privacy

The Canvas will not sell, licence, or share your image with third parties for their own commercial purposes without your separate written consent. Your image will only be used by The Canvas for the purposes described in this waiver.
